My name is Judah Finnigan, and I’m a freelance creative & filmmaker & ampersand enthusiast, based in Aotearoa. 

Words are great. I use them everyday. As a copywriter, I’ve been bringing brands to life with words for just under a decade. From long-form to one-liners, social posts to video scripts, origin stories to brand strategies, I’ve supplied all kinds of copy to all kinds of clients. 

Alas, words aren’t everything (although “everything” is totally a word). As a commercial director, I’ve also delivered punchy visuals for big dogs like Allbirds, Kiwibank, TradeMe, Bank of New Zealand, Wellington Tourism, and many more.

My third job is emerging filmmaker. I’ve made short films that have played in competition at festivals around the world, including Venice, Clermont-Ferrand, and Slamdance. I also currently have a debut feature in development with the New Zealand Film Commission. Promisingly, it will have both words and pictures in it. Stay tuned.
